EATSTRAVAGANZA COMES TO GLOUCESTER

 

NEW FAMILY-FRIENDLY FOOD FESTIVAL WILL COMBINE GREAT FOOD & ENTERTAINMENT FOR FIVE WEEK CELEBRATION

 

 

The creators of some of Cardiff’s most successful street food events have teamed up to bring a brand-new food festival to Gloucester’s Kings Square this summer.

 

Starting on Friday 13thJuly and running until Saturday 11thAugust, the festival, named ‘EATSTRAVAGANZA’ will bring together award-winning street food traders and entertainment to deliver a family-friendly celebration of good food and good times.

 

EATSTRAVAGANZA will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for five weeks, and each weekend will feature a changing line-up of eight street food traders from across the country.

 

Traders confirmed to take part so far include;

 

·     Brother Thai: British Street Food Awards winners 2017

·     Tukka Tuk: Indian street food from acclaimed chef Anand George

  • Science Cream: Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream
  • Puckin’ Poutine:Canadian fries with cheese curds and gravy

 

More street food traders are set to be announced in the coming weeks.

 

EATSTRAVAGAZNA is the result of a collaboration between Nick Saunders, founder of alternative Cardiff venue The DEPOT; and Simon Thomas, one of the founding partners of the Street Food Circus, winner of ‘best event’ at the 2015 British Street Food Awards.

 

In addition to the street food that will be on offer, The DEPOT will also be running a craft beer and cocktail bar, a variety of family friendly entertainment, and a ticketed ‘rollerdisco’.

 

Revellers will be able to book 30 minute sessions on the specially-created skating rink every weekend.
